Students’ Perspectives on Simplified Breakout Room Approach during Video Proctored Online Assessment in COVID 19 Lock down

Background: The lockdown in COVID 19 pandemic mandated the normal academic schedule virtual mode includinge-assessments. Since summative assessments are a mix of both selected response approach and constructed responseapproach, new method e assessment under video surveillance by break out room has been tried thisstudy student’s with regard to different aspects this technology will be evaluated.Methods: students were asked appear for exams zoom conference. Theinstructions check lists rolled accordingly teachers. appeared forthe examination such that one invigilator monitors 10 along guardian secondaryinvigilator present their side. A questionnaire based survey regarding conduct was conductedamongst students. data analysed descriptive statistics. P value < 0.05 is taken as statistically significant.All statistical analysis performed using software package SPSS version 21.Results: Analysis feedback revealed 90% agreed proctored clarified queries. Majority thestudents (96%) happy overall experience online assessment.Conclusion: methodology period ofpandemic evaluated its acceptance so it can facilitate upgradation ofe-assessment methodologies.
